Brandice Daniel Of Harlem’s Fashion Row Makes Her Cover Debut On BrownStyle Magazine’s THE SEQUENCE

The fashion visionary and founder of Harlem’s Fashion Row graces the cover of publication’s digital issue.

Brandice Daniel, founder and CEO of Harlem’s Fashion Row, is all smiles on the digital cover of THE SEQUENCE by BrownStyle Magazine.

“I’m so honored to be on the cover of THE SEQUENCE by BrownStyle Magazine, especially for their third anniversary,” Daniel shares with excitement about her cover debut, which coincides with BrownStyle Magazine’s third anniversary. “In just three years, they’ve built something real, a platform that celebrates our stories, our creativity, and the people shaping fashion and culture.”

Nearly two decades after founding Harlem’s Fashion Row (HFR) to create opportunities and increase visibility for designers of color, Daniel has become a prominent voice advocating for greater representation, access, and inclusion within the fashion industry. For BrownStyle Magazine, the cover represents a full-circle celebration of its mission: creating space for women of color whose ideas, businesses, creativity, and leadership are helping shape culture.

“Getting to share this moment with BrownStyle as they hit this milestone means a lot to me. I’m grateful to be part of their journey and can’t wait to see how they keep growing and lifting the voices and stories that deserve to be told,” Daniel adds.

Brandice Daniel The Sequence Cover 2026

Founded by sisters Tweety and Emerald Elitou, BrownStyle Magazine officially launched in September 2023 with a vision to become a publication for women of color who want to live a Soulful Soft Life filled with Self-care, Opulence, Unity, and Love (SOUL). Three years later, the publication continues to expand its editorial footprint across fashion, beauty, wellness, culture, lifestyle, and success.

Daniel’s first cover arrives as the publication celebrates the women who are not simply participating in culture, but actively helping to build it.

The interview, conducted by D’Shonda Brown, Editorial Creative Director of The Sequence, explores Daniel’s nearly 20-year journey building Harlem’s Fashion Row, her perspective on the evolving fashion industry, the importance of visibility and opportunity for designers of color, and what it means to build an institution that can create lasting impact.

“Brandice represents so much of what BrownStyle was created to celebrate,” says Tweety Elitou, Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of BrownStyle Magazine. “She saw a gap in the fashion industry and didn’t just talk about it—she built something to address it. Her story is about vision, community, and creating opportunities for people who deserve to be seen. Having her on our cover as we celebrate three years of BrownStyle is incredibly special.”

As BrownStyle enters its next year, the Brandice Daniel cover reflects the publication’s continued commitment to collaboration over competition and to celebrating the women and cultural leaders helping shape what comes next.

The Brandice Daniel interview is available now at BrownStyle Magazine.
