What happens when the life you’re dealt is marked by the agonizing void of a mother’s love? According to Fiona Golden, that question became the defining journey of her life. Rather than allowing her past to break her, Fiona transformed her deepest wounds into a wellspring of faith, community, and radical self-love.
In her first-ever video interview on Lemonade Moments, the content creator known as @figi.rated opens up about the childhood trauma and how it ultimately led her to a life rooted in faith and purpose. “When it comes to lemons, don’t you worry about it. God’s got you. You can make it into lemonade,” Golden reminds us.
Growing up in Philadelphia with her Grandmom, Golden carried wounds that many never saw. But instead of letting those experiences define her, she chose to surround herself with those who uplifted and inspired her.
Golden’s true pivot—her ultimate act of healing—came when she became a mother at the age of 20. Determined to be the best for her son, she refused to let a lack of “proper tools” define her motherhood. Instead, she extended her nurturing spirit far beyond her two sons, embracing a “whole village of kids” and “bonus children” in her community.
Her advice to every woman? Take the time to acknowledge and “celebrate your wins”—whether they are big or small—because they all matter.
