Let’s Talk About It… is BrownStyle Magazine’s new column written by Aikisha Holly Colon. In this candid series, the mom and multi-hyphenate entrepreneur creates a safe space to be real, raw, funny, heavy, but always honest.

Words cannot describe how excited I am to be a new contributor to BrownStyle Magazine! What an honor to be asked, and I am ready to jump right in.

Now, let’s be real—most of you probably ran straight to this article, wondering if I’m about to dish on Belle Collective. Because yes, I was the star of the show (LOL, I said what I said!) and yes, my exit was viral. But no, Sis—this isn’t about shade or tea.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good reality show moment, and we all know I can bust down a good read, but this column is going to be different. This space is about us. It’s about laughing together, crying together, and most of all, growing together.

Living In My Truth

When I sat down to think about what I wanted to bring to this platform, I kept coming back to the same truth: the things that matter most in my life all start with the letter F

For me, the top three are always Faith, Family, and Finances

Faith and Family never move from the top, and that third F shifts depending on what life is serving up. And let me tell you—life has been serving a lot.

I’m a wife and a 48-year-old mom of toddlers (yes, toddlers, pray for me). I’m also an author, sharing my very real fertility journey in my new book, Faith and Fertility: One Couple’s Journey to Creating the Family They Were Always Destined to Have.

Chile, don’t even get me started about navigating these perimenopause hot Flashes that nobody warned me about.

My Column With BrownStyle Magazine

As you can see, the letter F continuously shows in my truth. That’s even why my husband Willie and I started our podcast F… It! And when this opportunity came along, I knew exactly what I wanted to share here.

In my Let’s Talk About It column, I will share my journey of figuring out how to break generational curses while building generational wealth. And yes, we’ll talk Fitness too, because after forty, your body will humble you real quick.

So no, this won’t be a gossip column. This will be our space—real, raw, sometimes funny, sometimes heavy, but always honest.

I’m so happy to start this journey with you. Welcome to my world. Let’s talk about it…
