As September comes to a close, we would be remiss not to mention Liptember, a monthly tradition that champions a cause close to our hearts.
If you’re not familiar with the holiday, Liptember began in 2010 when two friends, Luke and Renee, created a flagship campaign to encourage people to wear lipstick throughout the month of September as a lighthearted and fun way to raise awareness and vital funds for women’s mental health. The movement has raised over $14 million to date.
At BrownStyle Magazine, we love an initiative that sparks conversation, raises money for a good cause, and allows us to try new lipsticks and lip glosses!

At our office, we enjoyed the opportunity to try new products and engage in honest and thought-provoking conversations about women’s mental health, especially Women of Color.
