When Sara A. Crawford, founder of Blondie Mansion, dreamed up The Power of Culture Experience, she knew she wanted it to be an unforgettable celebration of creativity, community, and culture.
Hosted inside Blondie Mansion’s signature immersive pop-up space in Wilmington, DE on April 24th, the multi-sensory experience will blend music, art, and entrepreneurship.
“We’re living in a moment where culture is being pushed to the forefront, yet it’s still not always fully appreciated. People are craving connection, inspiration, and opportunities to express themselves,” Crawford shared with BrownStyle Magazine exclusively about the inspiration behind the upcoming event. “With everything happening in the world, we need something that reminds us of the power of culture and creativity to move us forward.”
Partnering With BrownStyle Magazine
BrownStyle Magazine’s media sponsorship of the panel was a perfect fit, given Crawford and Editor-in-Chief Tweety Elitou‘s shared passion for art, culture, and community.
“Tweety has always been so supportive, and BrownStyle is all about empowering women to live their best lives—mind, body, and soul. That mission resonates deeply with what we’re creating,” Crawford says. “We’re both here to amplify individuality, creativity, and collective power. It just made sense.”
What To Expect At This Year’s Event
Attendees can expect the room to be covered in pink, black, and white in every corner. A live DJ will set the vibe. Meaningful and cultural artwork from Virgo Chanel and Smashed Label will line the walls, and a live painter will create magic in real-time. Every detail is intentional.
This year’s panel conversation moderated by Ray “Phame” Hancock features powerhouses; Jenn Thompkins (President & CEO of the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League) and Dr. Shareeda Tyaire (founder of Brown Girls Rock).
The panel will be an unapologetic and deeply enriching conversation exploring how culture shapes everything from personal identity to business innovation. Panelists will also dive into why it’s more important than ever to lead with authenticity.
“This conversation is going to be bold, real, and a little disruptive—in the best way,” Crawford says. “We’re unpacking the impact of culture on business, creativity, and community, and sharing real gems people can use to grow personally and professionally.”
Self-Care And Serving The Community
Crawford’s career has been rooted in service to underserved communities—helping others feel seen, supported, and equipped to build with intention.

“This isn’t just about creating cool events,” the founder says. “It’s about shifting narratives. It’s about honoring creativity as a tool for impact. It’s about building something that lasts.”
That kind of work doesn’t come without self-care. To ground herself, Crawford believes in slow mornings, music that lifts her spirit, and boundaries that protect her energy. “I give myself space to breathe,” she says. “That’s how I stay in alignment with my purpose.”
At BrownStyle, we celebrate creativity, confidence, and cultural pride—and Crawford’s mission is a beautiful manifestation of that and more.
