Resetting your life is easier than you think, and you don’t have to wait until the stars align to get started. You just have to make a decision to choose the higher version of yourself that’s calling for change.

Yes, sometimes we make decisions that we later regret or are not happy about, but it doesn’t mean that you have to stay loyal to what’s not serving you. You can choose courage over comfort. You can choose you!

Now BrownStyle Fam, the journey to resetting your life won’t be without challenges. I’ve been through the door of personal growth, and I can tell you that it is going to take courage, making new choices, and releasing what’s familiar to see real results.

But don’t worry, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here for you reminding you that you are stronger than you know. You can do this! Let me rephrase this: You will do this!

Below are the methods that helped me reset my life.

Let’s Be Real

Before we dare to think about resetting our lives, we must first decide to change.

You have to know that you can do it, and once you start, don’t dare to look back. Keep your eyes ahead and get ready for the shift. Once you’re ready for the change, you’ll be ready for the reset. Let’s go!

Mindset Shift

TBH: There aren’t any perfect or cookie-cutter methods out there. We are complex human beings, and so we sometimes require some complex solutions. However, it’s important to remember that what you believe, you build. Change your thoughts, and your life will follow. Reset begins with a mind shift.

The mind has to shift first for life to follow. This starts by quieting the noise around you— the endless options, social media scrolling, the comparisons, and external pressures— so you can listen to the small voice on the inside.

Ask yourself: What is it whispering to me when I’m not busy entertaining or drowning myself in distractions?

In those moments, the truth about what needs to change will rise to the surface. Once you recognize that those voices need to change, you can demolish them and start anew.

Make this a daily practice:

  • Listen to words of encouragement. Feed your mind with content that uplifts and expands your vision.
  • Speak affirmations out loud daily. If you need some help with those, subscribe to BrownStyle Magazine’s daily affirmations. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
  • Surround yourself with people who match the frequency you’re aiming to obtain. You won’t have to forcefully remove anyone; what doesn’t match you will eventually fall off.

Build New Routines

Sorry buttercup, but you won’t be able to reset while living in the same-o same-o. Change doesn’t occur until you change.

Building new routines is where the reset is REAL! This is where the thoughts come out of your mind and manifest in 3-D.

This is the step where you design your days to reflect the life you desire. However, it doesn’t have to be huge changes. Start small. One new practice at a time.

If you want more peace, commit to moments of stillness and reflection. If you want more time to be creative, carve out time to write, dream, or create. If you want to be wealthy, take out the time to learn.

Your life is a reflection of what you do consistently, not what you do on occasion. So, make sure to choose the rituals and habits that honor your reset and pull you forward. You don’t have to make a radical shift in one swoop. Just begin! One habit at a time.

Be Patient, Change Is Coming!

There will be no overnight results. Your habits took years to form, so it’s going to take a little while for them to lose their hold on you. This is a process, and it’s going to need your patience. This is a journey, and it doesn’t speed things up because you’d rather it be a race.

Simply be patient with yourself. Some days will feel like breakthroughs, and others will feel like setbacks. That’s okay, everything is a part of the process. Give yourself permission to evolve in layers and trust that growth is happening beneath the surface, even when you don’t see instant change.

The new version of you is worth waiting for. Stay faithful to the process, and it will reward you in ways you can’t imagine.

In conclusion, you don’t need permission to reset your life; you only need the courage to begin. If you’ve read this far, that means the courage is already resonating inside of you!

You are not obligated to the old version of yourself, the old environments, friends, or even the old choices that no longer serve you. Life will always be life-ing, but you get to choose how you respond. YOU WILL ALWAYS GET TO CHOOSE! That’s what makes the reset easy. It’s easy because you control the choice.

You may not be able to dictate the journey, but you can create the choice. Some days will stretch you, and some days will reward you, but all of those days are shaping the version that you’re becoming. The version that walks lighter, loves deeper, and lives freer!

So, take a breath. Take that next step, and know that you have the power within to shape the world you wish to live in.

Your higher version is waiting, and your reset is waiting for you to press the button. Go ahead and press it! You’re ready!
