My focus for the season is health. I’m generally well; I eat home-cooked meals, schedule spa and doctor’s appointments, and meditate while on my daily walks on trails. But I wanted to step up my game with a fitness watch to track my health vitals.
After some research, I found that popular name-brand fitness watches can be pricey due to the monthly data costs. So, I searched for an alternative and landed on The Trevit Smartwatch.
The Trevit Smartwatch
The Trevit Smartwatch was founded by Chérie, a Black woman located in British Columbia, who saw the benefits of a smartwatch firsthand after her mother received an expensive Apple Watch as a gift. Quickly, her mom’s wellness journey took off thanks to the ability to track and monitor her health.
With the hopes of allowing everyone to track their health, Chérie created the Trevit Smartwatch with a promise to offer quality technology at an affordable price. The overall goal? To make fitness and wellness accessible to everyone.
The highlighting features include allowing wearers to track their blood pressure, menstrual cycles, sleep, heart rate, and monitor their glucose. It also helps the wearer keep record of their workouts and easily stay connected with those they love with notifications for smartphones and app syncing.
My Review: Trying The Trevit Smartwatch For A Week
Will the Trevit Smartwatch become my new go-to to track my health and wellness goals? Maybe! Here are my honest thoughts on using this smartwatch for a week.
Day 1: Setting Up The Watch
I received my Trevit Smartwatch in the mail and eagerly opened it up. The setup was simple. I put the watch on the provided charger, and it was ready to go in twenty minutes with a full battery. I downloaded the Rundmefit App to sync my phone to the watch. The app itself contains a full profile of any history with the watch; therefore, I can track my metrics like sleep, stress, and steps.

The watch itself looks similar to an Apple Watch, and the interface is user-friendly with simple graphics and colorful displays. I picked my own custom wallpaper for the watch (a photo of my partner and me at the Statue of Liberty) to remind me of the moments that make me happiest every time I look at my wrist.
I didn’t do much fitness today, but setting up my watch brought me moments of joy. I can’t wait to take care of my well-being on the go!
Day 2: Navigating Stress With Ease
I’m typically mindful of my stress levels, especially during periods of constant travel, long days at work, and keeping up with the chaos in the world. However, the stress level feature has become one of my favorite features.

In a minute, the watch reads my stress levels and lets me know if I’m relaxed, normal, moderate, or elevated. I love being able to track when I’m feeling relaxed after a heart-to-heart conversation or be aware of my elevated levels when I’ve had too many stressful moments at work.
Whenever I found myself stressed, I used my time to hang out with my animal or relax in the garden. It’s a simple feature that keeps me aware of where my body is over the course of the day.
Day 3: Staying Active With Sports Mode
I am not a hardcore sports person, but I do enjoy hiking, swimming, and on this day, paddleboarding. My friend, Laura, made a special request for her birthday to go out to Sunshine Cove for an afternoon of paddleboarding. As we arrived at the shoreline, I put my watch into gear with the Sports feature.

A range of options to pick from—ranging from yoga to badminton—I selected the Free Sports tracker before heading out to sea. In two hours, the watch tracked that I burned 600 calories and my heart rate was at 127 BPM.
The sports feature reminds me that the work I put in, even for five or ten minutes here and there, matters for my long-term health. On days when I am not Sporty Spice, the activities button tracks daily steps, exercises, and hours standing. I enjoy this as a quick check-in for how many more steps I need to meet my goal for the day.
Day 4: Sleep & Relaxation
Beauty sleep is my prized time, but I don’t always get eight hours. Honestly, I have skipped sleeping in favor of a nap or a latte since I was a teen. Now, in my mid-twenties, sleep hygiene is the foundation for my mental and emotional health to function.

The watch’s sleep tracker is perfect for me to track sleep without a second thought. The different types of sleep are featured in the app, from naps to REM, deep sleep, light sleep, and times awake, along with the respective times in each phase.
At the top is an overview of how many hours I’ve slept, and it’s been a fun challenge to get my daily 8 hours in (9 if I’m feeling extra cozy). It’s data that has changed my life for the better (and made me a slightly better morning person).
Day 5: My Final Thoughts

The micro habits I’ve added to my life— monitoring my stress, moments of activity, sleeping well— are at the front of my mind.
After a week with the Trevit Smartwatch, I notice the shift in my mindset towards health and wellness.
I love the mission to provide accessible health tech for all and am excited to see what Chérie will do next. You can pick up your own watch on the Trevit website for $124.99.
