Could mind-body medicine be the answer to help you smoothly transition into the new season? Some experts seem to think so. Recently our interest was piqued when we were introduced to the idea of hypnotherapy as a way to gracefully go from the sunny days of “Soft Girl Summer” to the cozy allure of “Soft Girl Fall.”

For those who aren’t familiar with the practice, let us fill you in. According to Clevelandclinic.org, Hypnotherapy is a guided mind-body medicine performed by a trained, certified hypnotist or hypnotherapist. The health website writes, “Hypnosis allows you to be more open to suggestions to making healthful changes in your perceptions, sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts, or behaviors.”

To further understand the experience, we spoke to Hypnotherapist Keylee Miracle, who wants to educate and dispel the myth that hypnosis can result in mind control.

“Hypnotherapy is all about consent,” Miracle explains to BrownStyle Magazine. “You are allowing yourself to access deeper parts of your mind with the help of a trusted guide. People have the misconception that they relinquish their free will or completely turn their conscious minds off, which is not the case. We amplify other parts of ourselves that generally remain inaccessible. You hear your own voice clearly and you hear all of what it’s saying.”

Miracle is also the creator of The Neurointuitive Method, an elegant blend of hypnosis, human design, neuropsychology, and intuitive practice designed to meet each client where they are. She describes hypnotherapy as a way for people to break free from self-sabotaging behaviors and end internal conflict that’s holding them back from achieving their goals.

“Having a well-regulated nervous system is the definition of a soft life,” Miracle reveals. “Parasympathetic nervous system stimulation (PNS) helps your body and mind heal. Your body can only activate and sustain vital repair functions with PNS activation, which leads to an overall reduction in stress and creates a cozy and vibrant inner life year-round.”

As people start to wind down from their summer vacations and transition back into the routine of work and school, the Fall can bring a feeling of loneliness and melancholy. Miracle believes that hypnosis can be helpful in retaining a cheerful and emotionally stable outlook as we transition into the cooler seasons.

“Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and the personal difficulties that the end of the year can bring are best addressed head-on,” Miracle cautions women who want to maintain a soft life existence. “Hypnotherapy helps establish a healthier emotional baseline, which typically correlates with better dopamine function and adequate serotonin levels.”

She also thinks it’s crucial to point out that every person’s brain and neurological system has a unique range of “good” dopamine and serotonin levels. “With this in mind, I use my distinctive methodology, The Neurointuitive Method. Your interpretation of your events is the primary factor in determining your views and ways of thinking. You can improve your future perspectives and interpretations with the help of hypnotherapy.”

Miracle says that hypnotherapy can be beneficial for women who desire to continue their journey toward introspection and self-discovery during the Fall season.

“Well-done hypnotherapy amplifies choice and personal power,” Miracle explains. “You can decide on inner calm and work toward it with techniques that activate your PNS. A well-regulated nervous system does not mean you stop experiencing the full range of emotions. It simply means that you bring yourself back to your center by default and by choice.”

Additionally, she notes that hypnotherapy enables people to express their genuine selves while managing the shifting dynamics of their social circles and circumstances.

“We are each unique and here on earth to be completely ourselves. It is up to us to continue revealing and supporting that self through our lifetime,” Miracle expresses, noting the importance of self-reflection and self-awareness.

“Hypnotherapy can clarify limiting beliefs, our decisions, a range of experiences, and thorny emotions,” she concludes.

Overall, hypnotherapy may be an option for someone who wants to explore their inner desires, accomplish new goals, and navigate the path toward a new way of thinking.
